The trail at Casey Park Ore Beds in Ontario, New York was a surprise gem of a May Day hike. It is part of the Wayne County Passport trails and encircles the largest of the water-filled ore beds in the area. In between Route 104 and Lake Ontario, this trail now has me interested in learning the history of the iron ore mining that took place there.
