Museum’s latest Calendar, “Old Bags of Wayne County, and other Beautiful Accessories” is hot off the press!
The Wayne County Historical Society’s Museum of Wayne County History’s latest fundraiser is a fourteen month, 2010 calendar featuring fifteen mature women from Wayne County posing strategically behind museum artifacts.
“Old Bags of Wayne County ” will make its debut hot off the press at the Museum booth at Peppermint Days in the park in Lyons, NY, July 10, 11, &12. The price of the calendar is $13.89 plus tax ($15 with tax) and is also on sale at the museum gift shop, the Galen Historical Society, and Walworth Historical Society, the Apple Crate in Williamson, in Newark at En Vogue Salon and Chez Suzette Salon & Spa, Naomi’s Salon Hipnotiq in Sodus and Konstantinou’s Liquor in Ontario on rt. 104. More locations will be added.
Lyons Photographer, Denise Eaton, donated her services to this worthy project that Larry Ann Evans “hopes to be a successful fundraiser for the museum.”
Evans said that the museum had so much fun with their 2008 Calendar, “The Hottest Antiques of Wayne County”, (a calendar that featured 13 shirtless men strategically placed behind artifacts),”We thought we should give the women a chance!”
The calendar women are:
“And coincidentally, Kathi and Kent Marshall somehow both ended up representing the month of September in each calendar,” laughs Evans.
The calendar was sponsored by: Ruffalo Appliance, Dobbins Drugs, Naomi’s Salon Hipnotiq, My Salon, Studebaker’s, Ely & Leene Agency, DFA Accounting and Income Tax, Chez Suzette Salon and Spa, Red Rooster, Mid-Lakes Erie Macedon Marina, Iggy the Computer Guy, Athenia Restaurant, Apple Crate, Santelli Lumber, En Vogue Salon, and Sophia’s Women’s Consignment Boutique.

In this 14 month calendar, with the cover picture making 15 women, every town in Wayne County is represented. “We worked hard to find a women from every town” said Evans.
