Wayne County has many great places for Nordic Skiing, including several of the Wayne County Passport trails.
On 2 January 2009, a group of 5 men and 2 dogs headed to Chimney Bluffs State Park--at the new West end for those who live nearby--and despite the lack of snow cover at that time during our Winter we had a very enjoyable adventure skiing along the shore of Lake Ontario, listening to the crashing of the waves and the sound of our skis swishing and scraping.
