Wayne County, New York in the northern Finger Lakes Region is a place of storied history, enveloped in beautiful natural surroundings, and home to people who have a way of welcoming you that is uniquely their own.

From quaint villages of Erie Canal lore to hearty harbors along Lake Ontario's southern shore, Wayne County is a destination that will grab your attention. Probably the best way to catch a glimpse of Wayne County all in one shot is to participate in the annual Apple Country Bed and Breakfast Tour. "Doing the tour" means that you will follow a trail of Bed & Breakfast homes all holding an open house event--dots on a map covering the scenic Wayne County terrain--and get an inside look at each place.

A visit to any of the stops along the Wayne County B and B tour route might greet you with such excitements as live music, delicious h'ordeuvres and refreshments, hosts dressed in period costume, tales of local legend, information about area attractions and events, live mural painting, and even small displays contributed by other community merchants or artisans.

The nine Bed and Breakfasts homes on the tour for this year's event are:

  1. Sherry & Rich Said,

We loved the tour. This is my second time to take it I only wished it lasted long enough for us to visit and make all the B&B's. We like to visit and talk. Missed 2. I think if we had more time to study the tour we could have routed it differently. We found out at a birthday party the night before and were able to get tickets from Diane at 9pm. Did not see any ads for it. I suggest a snail mail or email notice to go out to all the folks that signed up.
I also suggest a book of B& B tales of Wayne County that could be sold during tours or to guests. Talking to Barb in Palmyra she wants me to tell her our story. Last year was our first date. We repeated our first date this year.
