The Wayne County Historical Society Map Club will hold their November meeting at the Museum of Wayne County History. The meeting will be held on Thursday, 19 November 2009, at 7pm.

The club will be looking at maps of Native American Settlements in Wayne County and original Sanborn maps of Macedon. If there is time, Gary Fitzpatrick will be showing Postal Route maps.

At the last meeting Sanborn maps of Clyde, Macedon, Lyons and Newark were projected on a screen for viewing. Members looked at how certain houses and buildings changed throughout the years.

Anyone interested in any aspect of maps is invited to come.

For more information about this event, call the Museum of Wayne County History at 315-946-4943 or look at the website, www.waynehistory.org The Museum is located at 21 Butternut Street, Lyons NY.

  1. Seth C. Burgess Said,

I went to Map Club for the 1st time in November. What a great group. We checked out a bunch of maps the Museum of Wayne County History had in its archives and discussed them from the perspectives of our various areas of expertise.
