I took this picture Christmas morning at my parents house in North Rose. I normally don't ever see the sunrise since I am not a morning person. However Christmas is the one day a year I do not mind waking up early for. After seeing this beautiful sunrise I might have to consider becoming a morning person. It is amazing to me how colorful a sky can be. Happy New Year to everyone.

I think the beauty of a sunrise is a secret we all have access to, yet few unlock it. A forgotten Wonder as many of our lives move away from the agricultural society "clock" centered on daylight hours, perhaps?
Our great sunsets here in the Lake Country are more commonly known since we are usually awake during that time.

Beautiful! And, I think another good view at sunrise can often be seen facing the other way: West. In other words, it can be interesting and beautiful to see how the sun illuminates things in the West from the sunrise angle.
