Veterans Day 2009 was honored in Lyons, New York in the village park, including a musical performance by the Lyons Jr. - Sr. High School Band, a prayer, words from Town Supervisor Jim Fabino, a salute by the local VFW post, and taps played by Lyons Senior Vaughn Faison. Vaughn also delivered a Veterans Day address based on his experience at Boys State.
