Holiday melodies filled the Earl Buchanan Auditorium last night as the Lyons Middle/High School presented their annual Winter Choral Concert.
Traditional tunes like "Silver Bells" easily put the group into a familiar holiday state of mind while other songs such as "Because It's Christmas" reminded us of what the upcoming holidays were about... a time to give and a time to share.
The choir was comprised of the 7th & 8th Grade Chorus, Senior High Chorus, Voice Lesson Chorus and a Vocal Jazz Ensemble. They were directed by Mark Wlodarczyk and student teacher, Justin Emmerich.
Other upcoming holiday events are the Middle School Show presenting "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at the Ohmann Theatre showing December 11th-13th. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. The Lyons High School Winter Band Concert will be December 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the Earl Buchanan Auditorium.
All are invited to attend.
