SUBMITTED by Karen Kehoe, Lyons Main Street Program (4-Jan-2010)
A Red & White Affair, a dinner dance to benefit the Lyons Main Street Program, is being planned for 13 February 2010 at 6:00 p.m.
To be held at Studebaker’s Grille, located at 1 Clyde Road, Lyons, NY, the evening will feature a buffet dinner, dancing, and silent auction of a variety of themed baskets. Tickets for the event will be available at the LMSP office in Lyons, and from local merchants, and are $50 a person.
While not intended to be a costume party, planners are hoping that those attending will find some inventive ways to incorporate the red and white theme when they dress for the evening. Prizes will be given for the best red and white outfits. When asked for suggestions, Jerry Ashley, LMSP Director, quipped, “Well, it can be as simple as a woman in a lovely black dress carrying a red Mardi Gras mask”.
