A special Sustainable Green Community Planning stakeholder meeting, which includes the Lyons Village Board, has been scheduled for Thursday, January 21, 2010, at 6:00 P.M. at the Village of Lyons Board Room, 76 William Street.
The Village of Lyons has recently initiated a Sustainable Green Community Planning project and requests participation from Municipal and Community Leaders. The first meeting is intended to share the elements of this Planning which includes Energy conservation and Renewable energy, economic development, high performance buildings, alternative transportation, water conservation, and waste reduction, reuse and recycling. All of which, will lead to the creation of new green collar jobs for the community.
The Village of Lyons welcomes your participation in the Village of Lyons Sustainable Green Community Task Force, as a key stakeholder in advancing a sustainable area economy and environment. The task force will work with the Village, the County, NYS Agencies, and the project consultant Larsen Engineers to guide the development of the plan.

Does anyone know how this "Green" stakeholder meeting went in Lyons?
It seems there are several green movements occurring simultaneously across Wayne County. Perhaps we can find some synergy.
