SUBMITTED by Theresa Streb, Lyons Public Library (26-Feb-2010)
The Friends of the Lyons Public Library hosted a book review on Friday, 5 March 2010 at noon in the Community Room at the library. Lisa Bork, a Western New York author, reviewed her book, “For Better, For Murder.”
Ms. Bork has a B.A. in English and a M.B.A. in Marketing and worked in human resources and marketing prior to her career as an author. She started writing once her children entered school full-time. The book she reviewed, “For Better, For Murder”, developed as a result of the family's love of New York's Finger Lakes region and her husband's obsession with cars.
Lisa is a member of The Authors Guild, Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, the Guppies, and the Thursday Evening Literary Society. The Friends provided dessert and beverages; attendees brought their lunch and friends and enjoyed the review. The program was free and open to the public. For more information on this and future events, call the Lyons Public Library at (315) 946-9262 or email us at lyonslibrary@owwl.org.
