SUBMITTED by Jerry M. Ashley, Lyons Main Street Program (13-Apr-2010)

On Saturday, 17 April 2010 at 9:30 am, we'll be gathering on the North Side of Lyons' Erie Canal Waterfront (behind Fire House and American Legion) for Flower Power Part One: Perennial Flower Bed Preparation.

We would love to have some of your perennial plant divisions or starts and we will glady accept purchased perennial plant donations (we'll plant what is delivered Saturday morning)! Bring your shovels, your turning forks, your clippers and loppers, wheel barrows and don't forget your GLOVES! We'll prepare the new perennial bed, trim-up and clean-up along both sides of the Canal and around the two bridges. Let's give Newark a run for their money--let's make our waterfront prettier and give a more beautiful and welcoming sight to our visitors!
