SUBMITTED by John Cieslinski, Books, ETC. (11-May-2010)
On Saturday, 15 May 2010 there will be a program in Macedon from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM called Fantasy Meets Reality: The Art Work of Jackson Lamme and the Photography of John Domm. This is an open reception at Books, ETC. and all are welcome.
Jackson Lamme works in pencil, oil and acrylic. Jackson states, “My artwork is created to please the viewer. I strive to impress art enthusiasts rather than confuse them. The work represents my passion for craftsmanship as well as showmanship."
John Domm’s medium is photography. John explains about his experience with photography, “I started taking pictures in the 1950’s when my parents bought me a Brownie Hawkeye camera, which I still have. We traveled a lot back then, so I had fun documenting our trips. I have had a camera with me ever since, from Boy Scouts to military service, sporting events, and everything in between. I have no formal training in photography. I do have lots of experience and lots of help from folks that do have professional training. I have read and continue to read books and magazine articles to improve my skills. It is important for me to have fun taking pictures, and I do.”
Come and enjoy their wonderful talents. For more information, call John Cieslinski at (585) 474-4116 or email at books_etc@yahoo.com. Books, ETC., 78 W. Main St., Macedon, NY.
