Glass Paperweights on Display at the Lyons Public Library

Through the end of May, the Lyons Public Library has a display of glass paperweights which are from the private collection of Christopher Davis of Newark. These paperweights are many and varied from tall cone shapes to square and rectangular to the more ordinary half round shape. They can be plain inside or contain swirling colors that look like flowers or candy or they may have images of animals or people.

From small paperweights that easily fit in the palm of your hand to a very large one used as a doorstop, all of these are in our display cabinet, located near the circulation desk.
