SUBMITTED by Jerry M. Ashley, Lyons Main Street Program (21-May-2010)

The Lyons Main Street Program would like to thank all of those volunteers that came out on a cool, damp morning on 8 May 2010 to plant flowers along the north bank of the Erie Canal in Lyons. Under the supervision of LMSP volunteers Anna Salerno and Diana Wykle, volunteers from the Village, Goal Chaserz (thank you Kyra Yon and Gloria Battle and all of your great young ladies), Americorps, and the LMSP planted perennials that will be enjoyed for years to come.

We would also like to thank all those FANTASTIC Lyons residents that donated their plant divisions and cuttings as well as those that made donations or bought plants for the volunteers to put in place. Another round of thanks goes to Mike Salerno and his Village DPW crew as well as to the Lyons Fire Department. Your continued efforts show that together we will all make Lyons a great place to live and visit!
