Why: Recipients of the 2010 Erie Canalway Heritage Award of Excellence will be celebrated at an award ceremony preceding the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor Commission annual meeting.Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum will receive the 2010 Erie Canalway Heritage Award of Excellence, while the Historical Murals of Lyons and the Mohawk Towpath Byway will receive Honorable Mention awards.
The Commission meets quarterly to plan and direct activities to assist in the preservation and interpretation of the nationally-significant historical, natural, scenic, and recreational resources of the Corridor and help to foster community revitalization. The public is welcome to attend.
