Hello all, Historic Palmyra’s museums are open all year long and ready for business. Right here in our small community stands the only museum with the largest collection of hand woven coverlets in America. Not in Chicago, New York City, Houston, but right here in Palmyra. Have you bragged about that amazing asset?
The award winning Phelps General Store is the ONLY original authentic Erie Canal store and home still in its original location with all its original items. Market Street and William Street are examples of Palmyra’s best and the four museums are owned and operated by Historic Palmyra, a non-profit 501-c-3.
Our Ice Cream Social and grand opening will be held on Thursday June 17th at 6 p.m. at the Alling Coverlet, followed by museum openings and tours. Ice Cream Sundaes will be served after your tours. This is a complimentary community event all are welcome. Come down and see what all the excitement is about. A group of 25 from Ithaca is coming to attend. This week we had people from Colorado, California, Michigan, Cooperstown, and Canada. We need your support because we work so hard for our community and visitors.
Take care all,
Bonnie Hays, Executive Director of Historic Palmyra

I have been to these museums and they are spectacular. The Ice Cream Social was amazing. Can't believe more Wayne County folks, or even Palmyra folks didn't come. There was no charge and 30 people came from Ithaca. They had the best time ever.

Heh, me too. I love the museums. I think the Phelps is one of my favorites. I am sure I heard ghosts in the building when I went.
