Marbletown N.Y.- Here is your chance to check out that one room schoolhouse that you drive by on the corner of Miller Rd. and Marbletown Rd.
Relive the quieter slow paced days in a summer setting.
A project of the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society, the schoolhouse, built in 1876, has been restored to the 1947 era, the year that it was last used as a school.
Donations are being sought for the Marbletown Centennial Schoolhouse Lawn Sale, on Saturday, July 31st, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Your donated items may be brought to the schoolhouse Saturdays, 1-3 p.m. Otherwise, Karen Watson can make arrangements for other times, or will pick things up. Please call her at 331-1857.

Seth C. Burgess Said,
It never really occurred to me that the N-AHS owned the schoolhouse...I do remember going in it at least once with my parents when I was small. It's great that this piece of community history is being cared for!
