SUBMITTED by Larry Ann Evans, Wayne County Historical Society (9-Jul-2010)

The Wayne County Historical Society Map Club met on June 22 at 7pm. The club members decided to look to the community for Sanborn Insurance Maps and the Wayne County Topographic maps of 1911. They would like to borrow these maps from town offices, insurance companies or private parties for the purpose of having them scanned at Kirtas in Rochester. If anyone would like to loan the Map Club members the Sanborn Insurance Maps for this purpose, please call the Museum of Wayne County History at 315 946 4943 or the office of the County Historian, Peter Evans, at 315 946 5470.

Anyone interested in learning more about the club may attend the next meeting Wed, Sept. 15.

For more information about this event, call the Museum of Wayne County History at 315-946-4943 or look at the website, www.waynehistory.org. The Museum is located at 21 Butternut Street, Lyons NY.
