This past Saturday was the second annual Village of Macedon Garage Sales event. This year was another huge success. We had over 50 sales registered, but we estimated about 125 actual sales going on. The event was well advertised and it brought in visitors from several counties. A significant amount of money was spent in our community this weekend and this helps everyone. The Main Street businesses ran sidewalk sales and also had a high number of new customers visiting their businesses for the first time.
These are yearly sales and will always be held the first Saturday in August. If you would like to join this events planning team and assist in planning the 2011 event, please contact Marcy Frey at 315-538-9595.
