Once again the Friends of the Lyons Public Library will hold a Book and Bake Sale, at the Lyons Public Library, 122 Broad Street, Lyons. The sale is being held in the Community Room, Wed., Oct. 6 – Sat., Oct. 9. The Friends Preview Night will be held on Wed., Oct. 6 from 7-9 p.m. You must be a current member of the Friends in order to come to the preview; if not a member, you may join the Friends for $5 at the door. Regular public hours for the sale are as follows: Thurs., Oct. 7 – 12 – 9 p.m., Fri., Oct. 8 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sat., Oct. 9 – 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Prices are $1.00 for hardcovers, 50 cents for paperbacks, 50 cents for videos, $1 for audiobooks and music cds. A bag sale will be held on Saturday.



At this time the Friends are accepting donations of used books, videos, cds, audiobooks, etc. in good shape until Thurs., Sept. 30. The following items are not being accepted encyclopedia sets, atlases, almanacs, textbooks, out of date travel guides and medical books in addition to magazines. All items should be brought to the main doors at the back of the library which faces Phelps Street. Donations may be left in the lobby but please inform staff that items are being left.
