The Lyons Public Library, 122 Broad Street, is offering a series of programs for preschoolers during the month of October. The first set of programs entitled “An Apple a Day” will take place on the following Tuesdays, Oct. 5, 12, 19 & 26 at 11 a.m. Led by Jeanna Buisch, this program will help children learn about self-esteem, healthy habits and making good choices through the use of children's books.

The second set of programs is the Library’s preschool Storyhour which takes place on the following Wednesdays, Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 10 a.m. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring children ages 2-5 to enjoy hearing stories read to them or told to them. Crafts and other activities are included. Barb Mater is the storyhour leader.

Both programs are free, open to the public and take place in the children’s area of the Library. Registration is not required. Please call the library at 315-946-9262 or email us at lyonslibrary@ owwl.org for more information. Don’t forget to check our blog at www.lyonslibrary.blogspot.com for upcoming events.
