This Saturday- September 25-The 8th Newark-Arcadia Historic House Tour , from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.- Tickets are going fast and are available for $10 at Newark Village Pharmacy, Wegmans, Flower Mill, Doebler Realty, Nine Pines, Sharon's Snip Shop, Dobbins Drugs, S.A. Gilbert Jewelers, Breens, and the Newark-Arcadia Museum.
Featured homes are 214 Elmwood Avenue, 630 South Main St, 101 Marbletown Road, 457 West Maple Avenue, 309 East Maple Avenue, 207 Mason St., and 117 Williams St.
Weather permitting, each home will have an antique car parked in the driveway.

There are many neat homes in Newark. I always wondered what the story was behind that stucco on E. Maple, growing up I referred to it with my friends as "the Alamo".
