School is starting and that means PumpkinPalooza, is just around the corner. On Saturday, October 23rd, the residents, organizations and businesses of Lyons will come together to celebrate the best of the fall harvest season. Join in the fun of pumpkin carving, hayrides, great food, old-time music, harvest-themed games, kiddie train rides and, of course, the Great Pearl Street Pumpkin Race. New this year are the sidewalk chalk art event, the gooey Pumpkin Slingshot, 5K Run, tractor events, a harvest cook-off and dance presentations by local groups.

Mr. Pumpkin Stencil Said,
That fact that the residents of a town can come together to hold an event centered around pumpkins is impressive. Sounds fun!
