Wolcott Village Pharmacy Sponsors 11th Anniversary Sawyer Christmas Concert
The dueling pianos will return to Wolcott during the 11th annual “An Afternoon with Jeff Sawyer” Christmas concert to be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Wolcott on Sunday, December 12th, 2010 from 3-5 pm. Sawyer and Rochester pianist Mike Yacci have worked out some special arrangements on the keyboards that will put you in a very festive mood.
Jeff Sawyer, along with singer Kelley Loveless, Matt and Jennifer Vacanti are the regular performers. Sawyer, as usual, has invited some very talented special friends to help celebrate the holiday, and you don’t want to miss this traditional event. This year’s lineup is a dazzler.
Besides Yacci, Sawyer has invited his songwriting partner Marty Roberts to the event. Roberts, a singer songwriter from the Rochester area, has been performing for over a decade in Western New York area. He is one of the star attractions at Johnny’s Irish Pub, Flaherty’s, and Bill Gray’s Tap Room. Roberts will bring his rich vocals and original music to Wolcott.
Completing this year’s line-up of musicians will be Rick Bush, harmonica &guitar, and Dan Batchelor on drums. And yes indeed, there will be plenty of surprises.
Jeff Sawyer is an accomplished musician and has taught private piano instruction for over 20 years. He owns and operates a successful recording studio, along with writing music for a national children’s show currently aired on PBS and the Learning Channel.
Sawyer has been part of bands that have shared the stage with artists Johnny Cash, Toby Keith, Kansas, Trace Adkins, Survivor and Steppenwolf. Sawyer recently released his 6th CD “Captured” a compilation of instrumental gospel music.
The First Presbyterian Church of Wolcott is located on West Main Street in the Village of Wolcott and this free traditional concert is brought to you by Don Collea and the Wolcott Village Pharmacy.
