MACEDON (Jan 21 11) – Put some life back into your life.
If you are facing long-term health issues, it’s time to take charge and enjoy a better quality of life.
Do you have diabetes, high blood pressure, a heart condition, cancer or arthritis?
Have been taking daily medication for a long time to control a chronic disease?
You can take charge of your life.
“Living Healthy” is a six-week workshop designed to help you take control of your health.
   The workshop is free.
Learn to deal with fatigue and frustration…to control your pain…to eat well to live well…to handle stress…to relax…to start an exercise program and increase your energy level…to use medications effectively…to remain a healthy caregiver…to make better choices about your treatment.
The program is for any adult living with a chronic health condition and/or their family members or caregivers. It will be taught by the Retired Seniors and Volunteers Program (RSVP). Sessions are 2 ½ hours long, once a week, for six weeks – all at Parkwood Heights in Macedon, running from Monday, Feb. 7 to March 21, 1-1:30 p.m. (no session on Feb. 21).
Seats are limited. To register, call 315-946-7530 and ask for Becky.
(This workshop is a collaborative effort presented by Wayne County Action Program/RSVP, the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne County, and the Wayne County Rural Health Network).
