The second entry in the Lyons Public Library's Tough Dames on Film series is "Women's Prison" starring Ida Lupino, Cleo Moore and Howard Duff. The film will be shown on Sat., Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. in the Library's Community Room. Lupino often was cast in bad girl roles and she's no different in this movie. She plays a corrupt, sadistic warden of a women's prison who cares nothing for the prisoners. Lupino butts heads with a psychiatrist, played by Howard Duff (her real life husband), when he tries to improve conditions at the prison.
