Hairspray , directed by Irene Cheney, is the 1960's musical about a pleasingly plump teenager, Tracy Turnblad, who dreams of being on the dance hit series, The Corny Collins Show. Tracy (played by Kaila Kise) won't rest until her dream comes true. Once she achieves being a guest on the show, she turns her mission to the show's integration, which of course, always teaches a lesson or two.
