Several Wayne County residents were recognized at Keuka College’s annual Honors Convocation and Leadership and Moving Up ceremonies, highlights of May Day Weekend (May 6-8).

Wayne County residents receiving awards include:
  • Adam Stephens, a freshman criminology/criminal justice major from Palmyra, received the Class of 2014 Member of the Year award;
  • Alyssa Hermenet a senior occupational science major from Williamson, was inducted into Alpha Mu Gamma (foreign language) Honor Society, and received the Barbara Neuhaus Scholarship;
  • Brandon Becker, a junior adolescent mathematics/special education and mathematics major from Lyons, was inducted into Chi Beta Phi (natural sciences, mathematics, and psychology) Honor Society;
  • Chelsea Darcangelis, a senior unified childhood/special education major from Lyons, who was inducted into Lambda Gamma Pi (education) Honor Society
  • Cody Clement a senior adolescent biology/special education major from Palmyra,who was inducted into Chi Beta Phi (natural sciences, mathematics, and psychology) and Lambda Gamma Pi Honor (education) honor societies, and received a Judith Oliver Brown ‘63 Memorial Scholarship Award;
  • Dan Rudy, a senior biology major from Palmyra, who was inducted into Chi Beta Phi (natural sciences, mathematics and psychology) Honor Society;
  • Justin Hess, a sophomore adolescent social studies/special education major from Clyde, who received a residence life recognition award
  • Katelyn Verbridge, a senior unified childhood/special education major from Williamson, who was inducted into Lambda Gamma Pi (education) Honor Society;
  • Kristin McCormack, a junior unified childhood/special education major from Newark, who received the Mentor of the Year award;
  • Reis Cunningham, a sophomore occupational science major from Red Creek, who received a residence life recognition award; and
  • Scott Welch, a sophomore biochemistry major from Palmyra, who was inducted into Chi Beta Phi (natural sciences, mathematics and psychology) Honor Society.
