Summer Songwriting Workshop Series Returns to the Lyons Public Library

Lyons, New York Public Library
For the fourth year in a row, the Lyons Public Library has received a $1650.00 grant from the Robert G. Boehmler Foundation for a songwriting workshop series. The workshops will be led by Nancy and John Bryan of Clyde. Nancy and John are Grammy nominated songwriters and have written songs for Walt Disney Records, MTV and for their own albums. The series will last 4 weeks with one session per week, for children ages 8 and up as well as adults. Families are welcome to participate.

Participants will learn how to write songs and how to set them to music. At the end of the workshops, there will be a practice session with all participants and Nancy and John in order to prepare for a concert later in the summer. The workshops will take place on the following Mondays, July 11, 18, 25 and August 1, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. These workshops are free but registration is required. Call the library at (315) 946-9262 or email lyonslibrary@owwl.org to register or for more information.
