As a part of the "May is Clean Up, Fix Up and Paint Up Month" , Lyonites were encouraged to nominate a fellow Lyons neighbor or business that exemplifies pride of community and ownership for "Thumbs Up!" recognition. Each of the 27 residences and 13 businesses nominated received a letter of congratulatory greetings and appreciation for making their community look great as well as an official "Thumbs Up!" certificate signed by Village of Lyons Mayor, Corrine Kleisle, and Town of Lyons Supervisor, Brian Manktelow, who had both previoulsy signed a joint proclamation declaring May "Clean Up , Fix Up and Paint Up Month". "Clean Up, Fix Up and Paint Up Month" and "Thumbs Up!" are a part of the "Get Lyons Pride" campaign launched by the Lyons Main Street Program earlier this year. We gratefully thank and acknowledge the efforts of the following residents and businesses as our first winners of this town and village wide promotion.
