The 6th Annual "A Day in the Life of Newark & Arcadia" Photo Contest takes place the weekend of July 30 - 31. The contest is sponsored by the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society.

Photos must be taken in the village of Newark or town of Arcadia, only on July 30 and/or 31, 2011. Categories are Historic (50+ years old), Scenic-Landscapes, People-Animals-Action, and Experimental-Creative. Up to five photos may be submitted, in 8 x 10" size. Photos must be dropped off at the museum (120 High St., Newark), by Sat. August 13, at 3:00 p.m.
Photos will be judged by a representative of Wayne County Council of the Arts. Grand prize will be announced. A display of all photos will be held at the museum at a date to be announced. They will become a part of the N-AHS' collection and archives.

All photos from past contests can be viewed in the Thelma Prutzman Memorial Library, at the museum. The museum is open Wednesdays, 7-9 p.m. and Saturdays, 1-3 p.m.
