SUBMITTED by Theresa Streb (5-Jul-2011)
For those young adults / teens that are interested, the first Teen Book Discussion will take place with Josh Long and Jennifer Lake in the Lyons Public Library’s Community Room on July 19th, at 6:00pm. Participants can pick up the books, "Clockwork Angel" for girls and "Airborn" for the boys, at the circulation desk. These books can count towards the reading for the Teen Summer Reading Club "You Are Here."
The two books were chosen for several reasons: for the two protagonists, who are male and female, their settings which take place abroad, both have received great critical acclaim and for their content as well which includes action-adventure with a side of magic and a few love-triangles thrown in for good measure. The second Book Discussion will take place two weeks after and it will be the other book that they didn't read the first time. Pizza and drinks will be served while the books are discussed.
This program is free and open to teens. For more information please contact the Lyons Public Library at (315) 946-9262 or email lyonslibrary@owwl.org.
