Wayne County Office of Tourism invites you to share in our “Holiday Traditions” guide. We have teamed up with local tree growers, specialty shops, restaurants and accommodations to create the 2011 Wayne County Holiday Guide - everything you need to make your holidays a success.

Need the perfect tree? Need a special gift? Want to plan a romantic evening? Answers can be found in this year’s Holiday guide. The guide features three tree growers: Franke’s Nursery in Marion, Urtz’s Evergreens in Palmyra; and The Apple Shed in Newark. No matter where you live there’s a Tree Farm near you.

For your holiday shopping plan a visit to Orchard View Country Market in North Rose; LW Emporium and Whistle Stop Antique Center in Ontario, Past & Present Antiques in Sodus, Good Old Days Country Shop in Pultneyville, Mulberry Hollow and II Dog Barkery in Palmyra, and Nine Pines Country Store in Newark. You can plan a stop for lunch or dinner at Skipper’s Landing on Lake Bluff Road in Wolcott.

The Museum of Wayne County History will be hosting a Holiday Boutique on December 2-4. Coffee, dessert and lunch will be available plus some great shopping! Spend some time browsing the exhibits and displays.

After a long fun-filled day of shopping and tree scouting relax for a night at Maxwell Creek Inn B&B in Sodus, Vintage Gardens Bed & Breakfast in Newark or Bonnie Castle Farm Bed & Breakfast in Wolcott on the water.

For a special treat visit three of our local wineries, JD Wine Cellars at Long Acre Farms in Macedon, Young Sommer Winery in Williamson and Thorpe Vineyard on the Ridge on Ridge Road in North Rose.

Mark your calendar with the special events and Christmas Open Houses included in the Holiday Guide.
