The League of Women Voters NYS will provide chaperones, transportation, lodging, meals and all educational materials.
A Wayne County student representative will be able to join high school students from across the state to learn about New York state government and how citizens can participate in the policy making area. Students will tour the Capitol, shadow their assemblyperson and state senator, and attend lectures by guest speakers. Applications and further information can be requested from lwvnyw@aol.com and are due by Jan. 20. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization and students of all political parties and both genders are encouraged to apply.
