Wayne Action for Racial Equality (WARE) invites all members of the Greater Wayne County Community to attend the annual 2012 Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration. This year it will be held on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, January 16, 2012, at Redeem Bethel Church on Rte. 104 in Williamson beginning at noon and followed by refreshments at 2:00 PM. This is the 25th consecutive year of WARE's sponsorship of the MLK Celebration in Wayne County.
The celebration, Our Children, the Hope for the Future, will feature presentations by students from the Williamson Middle School as well as the musical expressions of the Wayne County Martin Luther King Youth Choir. Works of prose and poetry from The Girl's Club of Sodus and other students throughout the Wayne County area will be on display. Keynote speakers will be Rev. Jessie Hall and Minister Josh Pappin.
