The Fellowship of Churches, a group of seven churches in the Town of Williamson, are holding their free Vespers Concert again this year on Sunday, December 11, at 7:00 PM. Anyone who enjoys hearing a variety of choral, solo, instrumental, and group music, all centered around Advent and Christmas, are invited to attend this free event.
Held at Williamson Presbyterian – the red, brick church on Main Street in downtown Williamson – and led by Nancy Jordan, the Choir Director of Williamson United Methodist Church, the concert has become one of the most popular events the Fellowship offers the community. Last year, well over 200 people packed the church, all exclaiming over the variety and quality of music, made more enjoyable by the cooperative, warm-hearted atmosphere.
The Williamson Fellowship of Churches includes Pultneyville United Methodist, Pultneyville Reformed, East Williamson Free Methodist, East Williamson Christian Community, Williamson First Baptist, Williamson Reformed, Williamson Presbyterian, and Williamson United Methodist Churches. They strive to present a united witness to the love of Jesus in the region, and every local church is welcome to participate. The Vespers Concert stands as a symbol of unity, as performers throughout town offer their musical gifts, and the Combined Choir joins musicians from every participating church, displaying the harmony we all might enjoy.
