This young group of ladies, ages 6 to 12 have been working hard to go to Washington DC for the 100th Birthday Celebration of Girl Scouts. It's being called Rock the Mall and over 200,000 Girl Scouts from around the world are expected to attend this event. Lyons is sending 25 Girl Scouts and the girls can't wait. But till then they need to earn the necessary money to get them there. So with the help of several generous businesses / organizations like Wegmans, Newark Hospital, Lyons VFW, Reflections Band and Loson's Big M., these girls will be hosting a Pasta Dinner Fund Raising Event on Friday, January 20th at the Lyons VFW on Route 14 South in Lyons from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm. Take outs will be available and tickets are only $6 for adults, $4 for seniors and kids and children under 3 eat free.
The meal will consist of a salad, all you can eat spaghetti dinner with Italian bread and brownie desserts. Come one and all to help support these girls. Entertainment will be provided by "Reflections" to all the guests who choose to dine in the VFW's reception hall. Tickets are on sale at Dobbin Drugs, Loson's Big M, Lyons VFW and at the Route 31 branch of Lyons National Bank or by calling 945-5526.
