Finger Lakes IMPACT men's football team held tryouts January 28 at the Turin Sports Dome in Fairport.  Over 70 players showed their skills in NFL Combines and in game situations.  No one has been cut at this point, and prospective team members will be further evaluated at practice for abilities, commitment, and attitude.
After a successful 2011 season the IMPACT hopes to improve its 11-1 record this year.  As part of the Northeastern Football Alliance, IMPACT was 2011 NFA Western Conference Champions with the League's #2 offense, #1 defense, and 20 All Stars, 3 All Star Coaches, and 7 All Star Dancers, the Diamonds.
Western Division opponents have included the Buffalo Gladiators, Jamestown Chiefs, Lyndonville Tigers, Southern Tier Diesel, and the Southern Tier Warriors.  IMPACT lost the League Championship to the Eastern Division Troy Fighting Irish.
Co-Owners Jeff Teed and Penny Teed head a dedicated volunteer staff of over 30 men and women.  Home games are played at Tom Coughlin Stadium at Waterloo High School.  A tentatively scheduled first game is set for Saturday June 2.
