The annual dinner of the Wayne County Historical Society was held on Thursday, May 10, at Wayne Hills Country Club, 2250 Gannett Rd., Lyons, NY.
After a brief membership meeting, the festivities commenced. This year there was a silent auction of various themed baskets (such as wine, chocolate, a night out in Geneva and an overnight stay at the Peppermint Cottage) and a live auction of a Clyde Glass Cane, a beautiful quilt and an 1800’s Wayne County map. Angela Libertella Calabrese, who has performed--among others--with Tri-Cities Opera, Brevard Music Festival, and V.O.I.C.E Experience at Epcot Center, was on hand to provide a musical interlude.
