Sodus, NY; September 28, 2012 -- Tomorrow’s (Saturday,
September 29) 10am-12pm Lake Ontario Basin Communities Visioning for a Healthy
Lake workshop at the Wallington Fire Department in Sodus, NY, is an opportunity
for citizens to share their interests and concerns for local resources,
including water quality, habitat, and recreational resources, and to learn how
to become better stewards of the Lake and its watershed.
New York Sea Grant, the Finger Lakes –
Lake Ontario Watershed Protection Alliance (FLLOWPA), and the Niagara County
Soil and Water Conservation District are offering this workshop for residents
in the Lake Ontario watershed community, Wayne and Cayuga counties, and
surrounding area.
The free workshop is funded in part by
Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant for the Lake Ontario Education and
Outreach Project.
