The Newark-Arcadia Historical Society's 8th Annual "A Day in the Life of Newark & Arcadia" Photo Contest will be held on Sat. & Sun. January 19-20.

Information, rules and forms for the photos are available at the Newark-Arcadia Museum, 120 High St., which is open Saturdays, 1-3 p.m. or by appointment.

Forms can also be mailed by calling 315-331-6409, or email.

All photos must be taken on these two days only in the village of Newark or town of Arcadia. This is only the second time the contest has been held during the winter months.

Categories include Historic (50+ years old), Scenic/Landscapes, People/Animals/Action, and Creative/Experimental. There will be a prize awarded to Best of Show to both adult and youth.

All photos will be displayed at the Museum, following judging by Wayne County Council for the Arts. All of the photos taken to date can be seen in the Thelma Prutzman Research Room at the museum.
