Redeem Bethel Church of God in Christ to host 2013 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration
Wayne Action for Racial Equality (W.A.R.E.) will again sponsor the 2013 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration, Our Children, the Hope for the Future, to be held on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, January 21. Hosting the 2013 celebration is the Redeem Bethel Church of God in Christ, located at 4494 Rt. 104 in Williamson. The celebration will begin at noon and complimentary refreshments will be served at 2:00 PM. This is the 26th consecutive year of W.A.R.E.'s sponsorship of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration in Wayne County.
The event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Arlette Miller Smith, Director of African-American Studies and Associate Professor: Departments of Interdisciplinary Studies and English at St. John Fisher College. Creative presentations by students from throughout Wayne County will also take place.
