Feb 9 – Sally Valentine Steinmiller and Kathy Johncox: On Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 PM at Books, ETC. Sally Valentine Steinmiller and Kathy Johncox to present their new books. Sally Steinmiller’s new book is There Are No Buffalo In Buffalo. This is a book of 78 poems, each set in a different place in New York State. Arranged alphabetically, the poems are accompanied by paper collage illustrations. This is a book where geography, history and whimsy meet to create a one of a kind journey. Local author, Kathy Johncox includes 16 stories about food in her debut short story collection, The Last Generation of Women Who Cook. The stories explore the inextricable links between food and family, contain no calories and yet are very satisfying. This program is free and open to the public.
