The Lyons Public Library will be celebrating its 5th anniversary in the new library building, located at 122 Broad Street in Lyons. The celebration will take place all day on Mon., April 15th, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
  • The Friends of the Lyons Public Library will be providing cake, punch as well as flowers and balloons for the circulation desk.
  • A display on the history of the Library is set up in the Local History Room.
  • A slide show about the building of the new library will run throughout the day in the Community Room.
  • Tours of the library will be conducted for those wishing to see areas normally not open to the general public.
  • Stickers, bookmarks and letter openers will be given out to children and adults entering the library that day.
  • Patrons will also be asked to fill out a book cutout to let us know what they think about the Library.
  • Also, the first 50 people in the door will receive a free Lyons tote bag.
