Local Chief Lock Operator Retires Doug DeRue worked on the canal system for 20 years. Lock 30 was a very special place to many because of Doug's expertise and making everyone that came to Lock 30 feel like they were at home. On December 4th, Doug retired to now enjoy another chapter in his life. The Village of Macedon Board of Trustees wanted to do something special and presented Doug with an Award of Appreciation at the December 11th board meeting. Thank you Doug for your great service at Lock 30 and for appreciating the fact that Village life matters. Enjoy retirement, Marie Cramer
