Apr 6 – Nick Eckerson and Patrick Hosken: On Sunday, April 6, at 4:00 PM, A Poetry Reading by Nick Eckerson and Patrick Hosken at Books, ETC. Nicolas Eckerson, Rochester native, dish-washer and R.I.T. Super-Senior is working on his first book of poetry. He has interned at BOA Editions and been published in Big Bridge and Signatures magazines. Using the Cut-Up technique, Jazz rhythms in abstractions, or writing pastorals about parking lots, his poems come from meditations on the American, Rochesterian life. Patrick Hosken is a writer currently living in Rochester. He's worked as a reporter, has written music reviews for online publications and has penned poetry that's appeared in Canto magazine. His poems are lean and influenced by the grays of New York winters. This event is free and open to the public at Books, ETC., 78 W. Main St., Macedon, NY.
