Wegmans Passport to Wayne County Trails is expanding! Book 1, which is in its fourth year, features 16 trails in Wayne County. The program has been extremely successful, with over 18,000 booklets in circulation. Many have completed all 16 trails and have been entered in the annual drawings of $100 Wegmans gift cards. This year’s drawing took place on National Trails Day, June 7th at the hike on Alasa Farms, Cracker Box Palace in Alton led by Emily Johnson from Genesee Land Trust.
Additionally, Book 2 of the Wegmans Passport of trails in Wayne County has recently made its debut. This booklet features 11 new Passport trails. Alasa Farms is one of the new featured trails, along with Beechwood, Blue Cut, Butterfly/Macedon, Galen, Sanctuary at Crowfield Farm, Third Creek, Trail of Hope, Turtle Pond, Whistlewood, and Wolcott Falls. Come on out and discover the natural beauty of Wayne County trails. Both Passport books will be available at local libraries and Wegmans in Newark and many other local sites.
