Author Beth Hoad of East Palmyra, NY has published a new book, entitled COUNTRIFIED: Life and other things from a rural perspective.

As Palmyra Historian and newspaper reporter, Beth Hoad has written about people, places, things and events for several years. When urged by a friend to “...write a book about living in the country...” she turned to her journals containing her own experiences as the basis for a series of essays, photos and other works on farming and country life as lived in Wayne County, New York.

Countrified is a light-hearted relaxing look at a fast-disappearing way of life through the author’s personal experiences and from a perspective perhaps different from many yet similar to some.

Beth was raised on a small farm and married into a dairy farm family where she helped with daily chores and field work for three decades while raising two children and later spent several years as an owner-operator/over-the- road truck driver. She continues to help on the family farm, keeps a bed and breakfast in her historic home and is presently the town historian and feature writer for Times of Wayne County.
