Wayne County Business Builders, an affiliate of SCORE Rochester, is offering a fall workshop series called Marketing on the Internet. The objective is to provide small business owners with the knowledge and tools they need to be more effective with their online marketing.
Interested participants can choose between two sessions. The first workshop session will be offered for four evenings on October 9th, 14th, 16th and 21st from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The second full day session will be offered October 21from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The cost of the workshop is $55 per person and will be held at the Wayne County Campus Center of Finger Lakes Community College in Newark. Class size is limited to twenty participants.
Topics will include Marketing on the Internet Overview, Building an Effective Website, Introduction to Social Media and How to Effectively Market Your Business on Facebook and Twitter. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about what local resources are available to them. Representatives from the Wayne County Industrial Development Agency, Small Business Administration and Wayne County Business Council will be present to discuss what their agency or organization offers and how they can assist with small business goals and needs.
For the past five years, Wayne County Business Builders has been honing their efforts to help foster the growth of small businesses in the Wayne County area. As an affiliate of SCORE, they uphold the mission of equipping small business owners with the tools they need to drive success by providing free mentoring services and low cost educational workshops. To date, WCBB has counseled approximately 300 clients, some currently in business and some in the process of starting one. Counselors have helped many business owners with planning, marketing, inventory management, process development and other strategies relevant to a growing business.
